Directions
Choose Your Garlands: Select one or two six-foot garlands, depending on how lush you want your garland to be. If you prefer a fuller look, go for two strands. These garlands provide the green base for your creation.
Bind the Garlands: If you're using two strands, carefully bind them together using floral wire. Make sure the wire is secured, and the garlands are intertwined evenly and fluffed.
Stem Your Flowers (If using Wood Flowers): Stem your wood flowers using 18 gauge floral wire and a dab of hot glue. You can do this step as you go or stem them all at once.
Floral Embellishments: Now comes the fun part. Begin adding your chosen flowers to the garland. Wrap the wire stems of your silk, wood, or fresh flowers around the garland to secure them. As you do this, disperse the flowers evenly, and remember to vary the colors and types. Avoid creating rows or lines of a single color to maintain a balanced and naturally elegant look.
Garland Placement: Your DIY garland is versatile, making it perfect for various wedding applications. Drape it elegantly on an archway or fix it as a captivating frame for your vows. To attach the garland to an arch, consider using zip ties. These will help you secure the garland safely and discreetly. Talk to your venue about attachment options.
If you are using the garland for table decor, add elements such as the candles, or bud vases intertwine with your garland.
