1. Begin with the Foam Ball": Place your 8" half foam ball securely on top of your chosen floral stand, pedestal, or wine barrel. Ensure it's centered and stable. The foam ball provides a solid foundation for your arrangement.

2. Stem Your Flowers (If using Wood Flowers): Stem your wood flowers using 18 gauge floral wire and a dab of hot glue. You can do this step as you go or stem them all at once.

3. Add Greenery for Shape: To create the shape of your dome, start by adding greenery. Greenery forms the base and sets the structure for your arrangement. Begin at the bottom and work your way up, making sure the foam is completely covered.

4. Selecting and Placing Flowers: Now comes the creative part – selecting and placing your flowers. Avoid creating rows or lines of a single color. Instead, distribute your chosen flowers evenly, maintaining a balance of colors and varieties.

   Start with larger flowers at the base and work towards smaller blooms at the top for a natural and elegant look. Feel free to mix silk, wood, or fresh flowers, depending on your preference and budget.

5. Fill in the Gaps: If you spot any gaps in your arrangement, fill them with more foliage, pampas grass, or smaller blooms. This will make your compote arrangement lush and full.

6. Add Final Touches (Optional): If desired, finish the arrangement by adding other decorative accents that match your wedding theme such as pearl sprays or feathers.

7. Create Your Tablescape: For Round Tables Place small votives or candles around this focal point, along with your table numbers. You can also add items below the arrangement at the base such as a garland ring.
